I wanted to start this blog with the goal of bringing ideas and solutions to the front of the discussion. All to often I hear talking points and repetitions of our philophy but no thoughts on how to relay that message to the people. Many hold our convictions but are not going to tune in to Fox or talk radio. My thought is we don't have to convey the principles of conservatism to each other because we already know its virtues, what we must do is become a presence in the communities and work not just preach to the people about principles. We need a more "boots on the ground" effort. The Dems/Libs have done this and the results are impressive. We don't have to sacrifice our principles but we do need to apply them. At a recent YR meeting Habitat for Humanity was brought up with a mild reception. What about working with them? Repubs not only get a sign in front  and recognition in the area, but we also esspouse the virtues of opportunity not handouts. This approach might bridge many more gaps than the usual "pull yourself up by your bootstaps" speech.
